At Sharpy’s Rod & Custom, our approach to automotive restoration comes from decades spent learning how bodywork, fabrication, paint, and finishing come together to create a vehicle that looks right from every angle. Our family’s roots in the Denver-area auto body industry reach back to 1960, and today that experience continues through three generations.
Restoration is now at the center of what we do, supported by the collision and refinishing experience that built our foundation. Whether we're working on a classic car, muscle car, or custom hot rod, the goal is the same: understand the project, pay attention to the details, and do the work correctly.

Sharpy’s Rod & Custom was founded in 1994 by Marc Sharp as a collision shop in Denver, but the family’s experience in the trade started decades earlier.
Marc’s father, Gary Sharp, was a Colorado native who began working in the auto body industry in the Denver area in 1960. Marc grew up around the body shop, starting with model hot rods as a kid before working on real vehicles by the age of 15.
That experience eventually led Marc to open Sharpy’s Rod & Custom. In 2005, the shop expanded into hot rod restoration, bringing years of collision, bodywork, and paint knowledge into the detailed world of classic and custom-car builds.
Today, Marc works alongside his son Beau, continuing a three-generation family tradition in the Denver Metro Area. That history matters because restoration requires more than knowing how to replace a panel or spray paint—it requires understanding how the individual stages of a project affect the finished vehicle.
Sharpy’s is I-CAR Certified and PPG Master Certified, bringing established collision and refinishing standards into the work performed at the shop. Our customer vehicles have earned multiple awards for paint and bodywork, providing visible recognition of the craftsmanship behind our restoration work.
Our team works together across bodywork, fabrication, paint, finishing, and restoration so each stage contributes to the same end result. Workmanship is also backed by a 3-year warranty, reinforcing the standard we expect from the work that leaves our shop.

Marc Sharp
Owner
Known for: Precision craftsmanship and a lifetime of hands-on experience passed down through generations.
Marc Sharp founded Sharpy’s Rod & Custom in 1994, continuing a family connection to the Denver-area auto body industry that began with his father, Gary, in 1960. Born in 1963, Marc grew up around the body shop, building model hot rods as a kid and progressing to working on real vehicles by age 15. Today, he works alongside his son Beau, carrying three generations of experience into the shop’s restoration, body, paint, and custom work. Marc approaches each project with a detailed eye and a commitment to getting the work right. He and his wife Michelle own Sharpy’s Rod & Custom and remain personally invested in the quality of the work the business produces.
Beau Sharp
Co-Owner
Known for: Attention to detail and a strong commitment to doing every job the right way.
Beau Sharp grew up in Northglenn, Colorado, surrounded by classic cars and a family deeply connected to the auto body trade. That early exposure developed into an appreciation for the craftsmanship behind restoration and the importance of taking pride in work that is done correctly. Today, Beau works alongside Marc and brings a detail-focused approach to the projects that move through the shop. Outside of work, he enjoys dirt bike riding, fishing, roller and ice hockey, and following Colorado sports teams. His role at Sharpy’s continues the family trade into its third generation.
